Programmes for Climate, Environment, and Resilient Communities

We develop and implement programmes called Circles that contribute to mitigating climate change, protecting and restoring the natural environment, and strengthening resilient communities.

Programme Development & Implementation

We design and run programmes in the fields of climate change mitigation, protecting and restoring the natural environment, and strengthening resilient communities, bringing together leaders with a proven track record on one of these topics, to work with them, accelerate their work, and coordinate around shared opportunities.

Training & Capacity Building

We provide structured training, tools, a network of partners and learning formats to advance environmental and climate-related activities.

Peer Learning & Knowledge Exchange

We facilitate collaborative learning through shared sessions, programme workshops, and a knowledge hub.

Public Engagement & Awareness

Our programmes contribute to increasing public understanding, participation, and engagement in climate and environmental issues.

Thematic Circles for Applied Climate and Nature Work

The HERO Fund runs thematic year-long programmes called Circles. Each Circle focuses on a specific topic, such as nature protection or sustainable food systems, and brings together a small group of leaders and experts who work on that topic.

• Engages in structured sessions, training, and shared strategy development.

• Carries out climate mitigation, nature restoration and community resilience strengthening activities on behalf of the Stichting as part of the programme.

• Contributes insights, lessons, and progress updates that feed into the Stichting’s broader learning community.

• Participates in peer-to-peer exchanges, collective workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Circles strengthen collaboration, accelerate practical progress, and allow to accelerate climate work.
