How Our Support Works
Leaders and organizations are referred, nominated, or apply directly to the HERO Fund. An independent board reviews all applications to confirm alignment with our public-benefit mission and potential for impact. Supported recipients share regular impact and activity updates to ensure shared learning across the HERO network.

Income & Use of Funds
The HERO Fund is funded by grants and donations from Dutch and international foundations. Funds are used primarily to support public-benefit initiatives through grants and stipends for climate leaders and aligned organizations. A small portion is allocated to core operational and administrative costs necessary to deliver our mission.
